no one has any lingering injuries - all W&T stuff unfortunately. Doctson has slowly been creeping into the yellow this season - I've already taken him off punt returns. He was a double green to start the season
Yes for Doctson, no on the others. Rest were just injuries during the game. Underwood had a similar one last year against Clemson but it didnt make him unable to throw like this one.
Part of doing the gauntlet is surviving the attrition. We iight

Pittsburgh, PA. - The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers got their payback in Pittsburgh.
A year after the Panthers ended their playoff dreams in the Fiesta Bowl, Coastal stormed into Acrisure Stadium and rolled out with a statement 52–35 win — dropping Pitt to 4–6 just a season removed from their national championship run.
“This one was personal, period,” Bryce Underwood said postgame. “The win’s great, seeing that new trophy mounted when we get home is awesome. But we needed this lick back in a real way.”
It was a fitting performance from the reigning Heisman winner, who had been dogged by questions all week about his health after looking banged up in last week’s win over North Carolina. Any doubts were erased as Underwood shredded Pitt’s defense, finishing 38-of-50 for 383 yards and five total touchdowns.
True freshman QB Angel Goodwell nearly stole the show for Pitt. He came out red-hot, opening 7-of-7 for 208 yards, including an 82-yard swing pass to Fame Ijeboi that gave the Panthers a 21–14 lead early in the second quarter.
But Coastal didn’t blink. Michael Allen finished off a grinding drive with a short touchdown run, and then the defense flipped the script. After stuffing a trick-play reverse for a loss, LB Juan Acer blasted Goodwell on the very next snap and with Coastal's ferocious pass rush finally getting home, the freshman was rattled and the Panthers settled for a quick punt.
From there, momentum was all teal. Underwood found Trishtin Glass and Talyn Taylor for touchdowns on back-to-back drives to close the half, sending Coastal into the locker room up 35–21.
“That’s been the message all year,” Kade Vaughn said at halftime. “Take their first punch, weather the storm, and then come back even harder.”
Goodwell kept slinging — throwing for another 258 yards in the second half, including a 98-yard bomb to Ben Power — but the Panthers could never climb all the way back. Coastal’s balanced attack (402 passing yards, 251 rushing yards) kept the chains moving and the scoreboard humming.
Even with Pitt’s gaudy passing numbers, the game never felt in doubt after halftime.
The Chanticleers walked off the field at 9–0, revenge in hand, and another mounted trophy waiting for them back in Conway.

Once Goodwell got hit, the 2nd half flipped. The freshman QB would not complete another pass before the half as Coastal built a 35-21 lead.

Goodwell was slinging the ball including this beautifully placed post route for the 49 yard TD to Ben Power in the 1st Q.

Conway, SC. - The scoreboard says 49–27, but don’t let the final margin fool you. This showdown between No. 1 Clemson and No. 2 Coastal Carolina was one-sided, and at times downright ugly.
From the opening kick, Bryce Underwood and the Chanticleers made it clear who runs South Carolina now. With T.I.’s “King Back” blasting after every touchdown, Coastal opened with three straight scoring drives, racing to a 21–0 lead before Clemson could catch its breath.
The lone blemish of the half came when Underwood coughed up the ball escaping pressure. Clemson turned the fumble into a long field goal — but otherwise, it was teal domination. At halftime, the Chanticleers led 28–3, having outgained their rivals 333–35 while sacking QB Chris Denison five times.
The second half was more of the same. Denison tossed a pair of picks, including a highlight-reel disaster when he was hit mid-throw, the ball fluttered into the air, and linebacker Walt Reyna snatched it, hurdled the fallen quarterback, and sprinted into the end zone for a pick-six.
Clemson salvaged some pride in the fourth quarter, outscoring Coastal’s reserves 21–7 behind redshirt freshman Jeremiah Fischer, but the damage was long done. The Tigers dropped their first game of the year while Coastal mounted their biggest trophy yet.
“It was important for us to start hot, especially after Pitt hit us deep last week,” DC Jeremiah Johnson said. “We wanted to get to Denison early, make him uncomfortable, and I’d say we did that plenty.”
Underwood was steady if not spectacular after his early fireworks, finishing with 275 total yards and three touchdowns, while running mate Dareon Doctson powered for another 100-plus and two scores.
Freshman Andre Koloamatangi saw his first action in the fourth quarter. He delivered a touchdown on his first drive but also showed his youth with a strip sack and late interception. “Just reps,” Vaughn said afterward. “It’s about making sure he’s ready for when he's called upon.”
Next up is the emotional centerpiece of Coastal’s nomad season: a trip to Ann Arbor, where Underwood will return to The Big House to face undefeated No. 3 Michigan.
Asked how he’ll handle the moment, Underwood didn’t flinch:
“Eyes on the prize. That’s it. It’s about gold trophies."

Dareon Doctson exploding through the hole on his 52 yard jaunt to the end zone.

Gotta keep that head on a swivel, kid.

Big Game Bryce strikes again - downing the Tigers in a far less dramatic victory at home in Conway.
