Eliezer Mayenda Rejoins Sunderland for £6.2M

Sunderland have started the process of reassembling some of their former players to push forward in this title run. Several high profile players are due to exit in January for massive fees and the club wants to replenish by bringing back familiar faces. The first of those is the 22 year old Spanish striker, Mayenda, who will be backup to Jobe Bellingham in the position.

Ballard Returns to Sunderland for £23M fee

Former Sunderland captain, 28 year old center-back Daniel Ballard, returns to the club for a £23M fee. With Guehi exiting, a spot in the starting XI opened up and he is happy to return to his former club and take that spot.

Dan Neil Returns to Sunderland for £98M in Questionable Deal

Sunderland may have taken the process of recouping their former players a little too stringently. Atletico Madrid refused to listen to offers for Dan Neil, who admittedly has been superb for them in midfield in LaLiga, and Sunderland refused to take no for an answer. They triggered the £98.4M release clause for Neil who was likely valued at around £40M and have brought him back on a £70K/week deal.

Sunderland Sell Jacob Ramsey to Man City for £97.5M

Jacob Ramsey has been a high impact super-sub for Sunderland this season, but was a bit upset with his wages and playing time. Sunderland refused to break their wage structure to pay a bench player over £100K per week and his likelihood of starting on his preferred left wing was effectively nil with Jack Clarke ahead of him. He has decided to move to Man City to get his pay-rise.

Sunderland Sell Mason Greenwood to PSG for £112.6M

Mason Greenwood has been electric for Sunderland on the right flank, contributing over 20 goals and assists in the first half of the season, but the fans did not take to him. Despite his rehabilitation efforts, fans refuse to forgive him for his domestic abusing past, and the club has finally decided to move him on to silence the uproar. Sunderland issued an apology to the fans for signing such an objectionable player. There are rumors the club will look to bring back fan favorite, Amad Diallo to take over on the right flank covered by Iling-Junior.

Amad Returns to Sunderland for £30M

Amad Diallo has returned to Sunderland to fill the void left by Greenwood's departure. Iling-Junior will likely be the starter initially, but Diallo figures to be an important member of the squad going forwards. He will earn £50K per week and joins on a 5-year contract at 25 years old.

Tommy Doyle Joins Tottenham for £40M

Doyle was a solid player for Sunderland last season, but with the shift to the 4-2-3-1, just really had no place in the squad. He's struggled to get playing time and asked to leave to which the manager obliged. Spurs saw value in the player however, adding him to their corps of midfielders for a £40M fee.

Taylor Higgins Rejoins Sunderland for £10M

Sunderland bring back Taylor Higgins, the 20 year old left-winger who formerly played for the club and broke in through the caademy. He will be a suitable backup for Jack Clarke after the departure of Jalen Ramsey, and one who should not be too upset about coming off the bench.

William Pacho Joins Sunderland from Sevilla for £57.6M

Sunderland have made the signing of highly rated left-footed center back, William Pacho, from Sevilla. This move has created a bit of a stir as Jarrad Branthwaite, the club's current star man in the position, is rumored to be struggling to agree a deal with the team. It seems like Branthwaite might be on the way out with Pacho taking over for him next to Ballard as the first choice LCB.
