Sunderland Sign Jude Bellingham for Massive £180M Fee

Sunderland have finally completed their plan to unite the Bellingham brothers. In and absolute statement of a first move, the club purchased Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid for £180 million. Jude Bellingham is expected to line up at CAM in the club's 4-2-3-1 system, wearing the #10 shirt and playing directly behind his younger brother at striker, Jobe Bellingham. These two could form one of the deadliest attacking duos in European football if Rodgers can get them both firing.

Sunderland Sign Samu Costa for £18M

With the move to a 4-2-3-1, Sunderland need more strength in central defense and have decided to sign 26 year old defensive midfielder, Samu Costa from Mallorca to help with that. The Portuguese midfielder is tenacious and an excellent ball winner and deep lying playmaker who should fit the system to a tee.

Sunderland Sign Alan Varela for £34.5M

To partner alongside Samu Costa in the double pivot, Sunderland have completed the signing of 26-year-old central defensive midfielder, Alan Varela from FC Porto. Varela won the Portuguese league with Porto last year playing in a very similar system acting as the anchor for the team defensively. He is also very skilled on the ball and has a powerful long shot that Rodgers will surely look to weaponize in his system. Varela will wear #8 for his new club.
