Lakers end road trip with gritty win over Thunder
LeBron, D'Lo knock down clutch free throws in final seconds

1st Quarter
LeBron James wasted no time giving the Lakers a big first quarter lead. James scored 10 of the Lakers first 12 points in the game, including a thunderous slam dunk. The Thunder responded by going on a 12-2 run of their own to tie the game 14-14. The Lakers finished the first quarter on a 13-5 run that saw them take an eight-point lead into the second quarter, 27-19.
2nd Quarter
The Lakers led by as many as eleven points in the second quarter, but the Thunder kept it very close. The Thunder cut the Lakers lead down to five points several times during the quarter, but the Lakers still went into halftime with a 51-45 lead.
3rd Quarter
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gave the Thunder a one-point lead, 56-55 on a three-point basket, but the Lakers went on a 13-0 run, going up their biggest margin of the game, twelve points, 68-56. A three-point play by Isaiah Joe, got the Thunder to within four-points, 75-71, but the Lakers took an eight-point lead into the final quarter, 82-74.
4th Quarter
Both teams went back and forth during the start of the fourth quarter. Gilgeous-Alexander, plagued by foul trouble in the second half continued to keep the Thunder within distance, getting to the free throw line at will tonight. With less than two minutes to play, Gilgeous-Alexander scored on consecutive layups, cutting the Lakers lead to 100-96. On the Thunders next possession Chet Holmgren hit a baseline jumper, closing the gap to two points, 100-98. LeBron James drove baseline and scored putting the Lakers back up by four, 102-98. Gilgeous-Alexander's jumpshot brought the Thunder back to within two points, 102-100. LeBron James and Anthony Davis put the Lakers up 106-100 after successfully hitting two free throws each. Gilgeous-Alexander knocked down two free throws of his own before fouling out on the ensuing play, intentionally fouling D'Angelo Russell. Russell went on to knock down six straight free throws and despite a Josh Giddy three-pointer the Lakers held on to claim a 114-107 win over the Thunder and finish their road trip 2-2.
