Yeah the OG game had an English release back in the 90s, but otherwise it's been a series exclusively released in Japan. Basically a horse racing version of FM with MyNBA eras options for what year to start the save. I'm excited to see to get this one going

Journal Entry #1
July 2, 2004

Well, my life is down the drain now. The dream is over. I'm feeling like total shit, but that bump from Chase did hit good in the moment.

My agent is on the hunt for potential teams interested overseas. For now, I got a lot of time to kill. I guess that's why I started to write down my thoughts in this journal. Healthier way to decompress compared to what got me in this mess.

My cousin's inviting me to help out clean out Grandpa's stuff before they sell it. It's been a while since I last been to Japan. Maybe it's time for a little vacation.

Journal Entry #2
July 4, 2004

Fourth of July. A day to celebrate freedom. Freedom from the NBA. Well, rather I'm free from it because I'm banned. I'm a bird with broken wings. Without basketball, I have no purpose in my life.

It's been a day since I landed in Japan. Grandpa Kei was a businessman, owning numerous hotels and ski resorts in Hokkaido. It was at one of his hotels where he met my grandma, who was there for a trade conference. The two ended up getting married and settling down in his hometown Mukawa to raise a family.

Naomi and I are at our grandpa's house helping Auntie Mary to sort out his old belongings before his estate sale. I knew he liked to travel and collect souvenirs, but there are quite a lot of random things here. An African tribal spear, an old cookbook from the Renaissance, a Geno Tate Indiana jersey. On the bottom of a pile, I found a dusty album. Full of normal family pictures then one picture caught my eye.

My aunt said that Grandpa invested in a racehorse named Shinzan, the second Triple Crown winner in Japan. I knew he was into the horse racing, but I didn't know he was actually involved in the sport.

Journal Entry #3

July 28, 2004

After getting sidetracked for the past two weeks, we finally have cleared out the storage building. Now that the house was completely cleaned, there was only one place left that needs cleaning according to Auntie Mary.

She took us to an old run down ranch. Overgrown weeds sticking out from the ground. Moss growing on rusted machinery that looks untouched for years. She wants to tear down the whole place and sell the land. She brought an entire demolition crew while we help clean up the rubble.

As the bulldozer approached the barn, something emerged from inside.

A lone horse.

"Hornet Opera...I thought he sold every single one of them!"

Auntie Mary looked surprised. What was standing before us was Grandpa's last horse he ever owned.

The last of a legacy. This farm was a place to breed and raise thoroughbred horses. Turns out Grandpa owned the place before his passing.

The look on this horse's eyes. It still has a dream. A dream to run.

If I lost my purpose in life. Then I'll just make a new one.
