Hopefully we have it for more than a week. Michigan is the 2nd highest rated team we'll play outside of Notre Dame

Thought about it - but didn't want to risk him getting fucked up with his W&T already grinding

Ann Arbor, MI. - One week after toppling No. 1 Clemson at Brooks Stadium, the newly crowned top-ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers headed north with one goal: prove they weren’t a one-and-done at the top of the AP Polls.
Mission accomplished.
Despite a late surge from Michigan, Coastal never let the crown slip, racing out to a 28–6 halftime lead and cruising to a 41–20 win inside The Big House.
The story of the first half was Dareon Doctson, who carved up the Wolverines with 175 rushing yards before the break, highlighted by runs of 75 and 40 yards. Bryce Underwood played maestro, steady and efficient, letting his backfield mate gash Michigan’s defense.
Asked afterward if he wanted to light up the stat sheet in his Ann Arbor homecoming, Underwood flashed a smirk straight out of the Kade Vaughn playbook.
“We got the only stat that matters — the W.”
Michigan QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele — who once backed up Underwood before the Heisman winner left for Coastal — showed plenty of rust after missing six games this season, despite last week’s five-TD return against Michigan State. He was sacked three times in the first half and, while efficient (17-for-22), only produced 134 passing yards as Michigan stumbled to just six first downs before the break.
Coastal’s offense shifted into cruise control in the second half, chewing clock and twice turning down easy field goals to go for it on fourth. The Wolverines clawed back late — Sagapolutele hit TE JJ Graves for a score, and the defense forced a red-zone stop to make it 34–13 — but any flicker of hope was quickly snuffed out.
On the ensuing kickoff, Michigan’s Kenny Williams was rocked, coughing up the ball. Coastal WR Joey Bannon scooped and scored, effectively silencing The Big House. A late Wolverine touchdown was cosmetic at best.
For the Chanticleers, it was more than just another perfect November win. It was payback. Head coach Kade Vaughn didn’t mince words postgame, referencing Michigan’s head man Pat Narduzzi, who was still the Pitt coach when he handed Coastal its only loss of 2027 in the Fiesta Bowl.
“It was an extra satisfying win,” Vaughn said. “Pat was the last coach to beat us. That stuck. Tonight, we made sure we collected that debt.”
Coastal now moves to 11–0 with 8th ranked Duke up next for Senior Night — the final hurdle standing between the Chanticleers and a third straight perfect regular season, another mount for the trophy wall, and another step toward unfinished business.

Coastal made sure to give Sagapolutele enough to think about while collecting three 1st half sacks.

Once he found his rhythm Sagapolutele was surgical for the Wolverines, but it was too little too late.

FS Nick Judd-Johnson forcing the fumble to ease the pressure off the Chanticleers late in the win.
