Weekends are when I have the most time so I've been cranking them outMatt10 updated his sliders and it severely lowered ball security
5 forced fumbles in the two games I've played with the updated ones - ball security has since been upped for the CPU lol
App State has a solid squad as does Georgia Southern - but I feel its a good bet. So long as we can hold onto the ball. Southern Miss shouldn't have been that close but we fucked around and almost found out
YO! It's been rough this year. Part of it is I've been trying to throw the ball deep more rather than manufacture drives (one game he had 25 completions for less than 200 yards
) but that is usually where we get in trouble-

Coastal Keeps Wining The Carolina's - Secures #1 In State LB Recruit

Conway, SC. - Kade Vaughn continues rewriting the record books in Conway — and now, he’s doing it on the recruiting trail.
Just days after a gritty 24-17 win over Southern Miss, the 20th-ranked Chanticleers secured the highest-rated high school commitment in program history: Walt Reyna, the No. 4 overall player in South Carolina and the top-ranked linebacker in the state, is staying home.
“Coach Vaughn has those Chanticleers going buck wild down in Conway, and I can’t wait to help them turn it up another notch,” Reyna posted on social media, announcing his decision. The four-star standout is ranked No. 112 nationally and surpasses CJ Mims — the No. 162 overall prospect from the 2022 class — as the highest-rated recruit to ever choose Coastal.
But Reyna isn’t the only one jumping on board.
Just hours later, New Orleans quarterback Deon Cherry (No. 442 nationally, No. 19 QB) announced his commitment, followed quickly by JUCO pass rusher Roosevelt Verner (No. 444, No. 39 DE). The trio gives Coastal serious momentum on the trail as the Chants surge into the national rankings.
Now, Vaughn’s buzz is opening doors that were once closed.
Virginia Beach receiver Terron Clemons, the No. 36 player in the nation, had previously left Coastal off his list due to their low brand exposure. But with the Chants surging into the top 25 and gaining national attention, Coastal is now firmly back in the mix for the 6’1” route technician.
Another name heating up is Florida running back Noah Serna (No. 204 nationally), who emerged as a top target after the staff backed off their previous pursuit of Milwaukee’s Lyle Thornton (No. 433). The pivot appears to be strategic.
“Initially, Coastal thought they had a better shot at Thornton and expected Serna to be scooped up by bigger in-state programs,” said an anonymous recruiting source. “But Wisconsin went hard for Thornton, while Serna remains mostly overlooked. Coastal sees a real window here — they’re hoping to lock him in before Miami or Florida wakes up.”
Whether it’s Vaughn’s swagger, Coastal’s climb into the national spotlight, or the promise of something big brewing in Conway — recruits are clearly buying what the Chants are selling.
If Vaughn can reel in one or two more four-star commits from the 2026 class, he won’t just be building a contender — he’ll be building a monster.

Conway, SC. - Another game, another ruthless display from Coastal Carolina’s rebuilt defensive front. LJ McCray and Aakil Washington each notched a pair of sacks as the Chanticleers steamrolled Old Dominion 33–6 to move into sole possession of first place in the Sun Belt East.
While Old Dominion entered the game with an underwhelming overall record — including a stunning loss to Division II Virginia Union — they were undefeated in Sun Belt play, making this a battle for the top spot in the division despite the contrasting résumés.
Coastal’s defense once again set the tone, tallying eight sacks and suffocating the Monarchs from start to finish. Offensively, the Chants went back to their 2025 roots, leaning on a punishing ground game and a methodical passing attack — a stark shift from their recent attempts to open up the playbook.
The Chanticleers ran the ball 37 times compared to just 19 passing attempts, grinding out drives and keeping control of the clock. The lone blemish came on the opening drive of the second half, when Bill Davis lost the ball while stretching for a first down. The fumble led to Old Dominion’s second and final field goal of the game.
From there, it was all Coastal. Roquan Barber tossed his second touchdown of the night to Aziah Johnson to seal the win and cap off another dominant performance for the 15th-ranked Chanticleers.
Now riding an 11-game win streak dating back to last season, Coastal Carolina (8–0) hits the road for a Week 10 matchup in Atlanta against a 5–4 Georgia State team looking to play spoiler.

Aziah Johnson's 1st touchdown came on this 28 yard throw after the Monarchs didn't have a defender lined up to cover the #1 receiver for Coastal.

Tayveon Bennett celebrating after notching one of his 2 1/2 sacks for a safety.

Bill Davis' 3rd quarter fumble provided the last spark for the Monarchs before being finally snuffed out.

Reyna is exciting as long as we can keep him. If he's as good as advertised he'll start day 1 and should get plenty of opportunities if McCray can stay up front eating bodies. Cherry I am most excited about. He's got some solid attributes, but if he has a good dev trait?

And yeah the boys are cooking. I'm surprised with how good the defense is doing tbqh. Usually I'm playing shootouts and hoping my defense can get a stop, but with this team I'm hoping my offense can actually hold onto the ball and generate some plays while the defense is just killin em.
I still can't figure out why the passing game is so anemic. I think its a combo of meh QB attributes, receivers who can't get separation, and play calling. We will keep grinding until we're airing it out Texas Tech style
