Coach Freeman have seen brighter lights. This should be a snooze fest after pinning down PSU

How in the fuck is this Louisville team 8-4?

438 and 8 isn't a terrible season, but we can do better in Y2.
I forgot to update with the final game - his season total is 36 - 441 - 8

solid year for a true freshman :yep:

IDK how Louisville didn't run the table outside of us with that easy schedule

96 overall and that bad of a record? Brohm is lucky to still be there.
yeah idk what the heck happened where they somehow lost 4 games with no real threats on the schedule

time to get him back to the Natty. Really hoping it lines up where we have to go through Ohio State to do it, tbh

Linebacker Trevor Bausby Ruled Ineligible For ACC Championship Game

Conway, SC. - On the morning before No. 1 Coastal Carolina was set to travel to Charlotte for the 2034 ACC Championship Game, the Chanticleers were hit with unexpected news: junior linebacker Trevor Bausby has been ruled academically ineligible pending further investigation.

According to multiple university officials, several professors flagged irregularities in Bausby’s final exams, which he was permitted to complete earlier in the week due to the team’s adjusted academic schedule ahead of conference title preparations. The discrepancies were reported to the academic integrity office late Wednesday night, prompting an immediate review.

Head coach Marcus Freeman confirmed Thursday that the program was notified early that morning that Bausby would not be cleared to participate.

“We don’t have all the details yet, so I can’t speak to how long Trevor will be out,” Freeman said. “I just know we were told this morning he is ineligible until further notice and that he is not permitted to travel with the team. As we learn more, we’ll keep everyone updated.”

Bausby, a key piece of Coastal’s transition into the 4-2-5 defense under Freeman and defensive coordinator Brent Pry, has been one of the unit’s most reliable disruptors. The junior has recorded 43 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles this season.

The timing of the ruling leaves Coastal Carolina without one of its top defensive playmakers less than 48 hours before kickoff, as the Chanticleers look to secure their 4th straight ACC title and punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff.

University officials said the investigation is ongoing and declined to provide a timeline for resolution.

And we thought James was running a corrupt program. Sounds like you are taking notes from The Program here. Start investigating all the players now.

WOAH hol' up

the Bulldogs can have an entire team arrested and get off scot free, but we hold our players to a higher standard and are suddenly corrupt!? Ain't like we covered it up so he could finish the season first....

Charlotte, NC. - The Louisville Cardinals entered the 2034 ACC Championship Game playing with house money. Already eliminated from College Football Playoff contention, they came in loose, aggressive, and eager to spoil Coastal Carolina’s title run. But despite their best swings, fundamental, mistake free football helped the Chanticleers seize, and protect, a fourth quarter lead to clinch their fourth straight ACC crown in a gritty 37–30 win.

“You add up our missed opportunities, and you can see why they won,” Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm said flatly afterward.

Coastal struck first with an electric opening drive, capped by Braydon Tabor’s 34 yard catch and run. Louisville responded in the 2nd quarter, taking advantage of a busted coverage that left WR Reggie Holyfield all alone for an 82 yard touchdown that tied the score at 10.

The Chanticleers were threatening again and even converted a crucial fourth down at midfield, but a holding call killed the momentum. Punter Dalton Randall flipped the field anyway, dropping a beauty inside the five that CB Desmond Schraeder downed at the 4 yard line.

One snap later, DE Monte Miner blew untouched around the edge for a safety, part of his 2.5 sack night. Coastal turned the free kick into quick points, with Tabor hauling in his second touchdown, and Louisville’s half ended with a stalled drive and a shanked 49-yarder from Malachi Scruggs, giving Coastal a 19–10 lead at the break.

Coastal punched in another touchdown to start the third quarter, but Louisville answered with a much-needed drive of their own, only for Schraeder to come up huge again, blocking the extra point. Linebacker Craig Urbik scooped up the loose ball and raced it back for a rare defensive two points.

Prude’s third touchdown pass pushed the lead to 37–16, but the Cardinals refused to fold. Two determined scoring drives chewed nearly the entire fourth quarter, sandwiching a Coastal three and out, and suddenly Louisville trailed just 37–30 with 3:16 remaining and all the momentum.

But that final chance never arrived. Facing 3rd-and-11 near midfield, Prude drilled a 22 yard dagger to Tabor with 1:56 left, allowing the Chanticleers to drain the clock and close out the win.

“I know I threw the game winning touchdown last time we met, but they also picked me off three times,” Prude said after receiving the game ball. “I had to come in here and play clean, show I’m ready for the postseason.”

With the victory, Coastal all but locks up the No. 1 overall seed and now turns its full attention to chasing only the second three peat in college football history, and the first to span multiple head coaches.
