Blood in the Water... Volume II (Again) lol

From Western Conference Finals, to a drastic rebuild. Sharks enter panic mode?
Prologue- It's hard to believe just how fast San Jose General Manager Doug Wilson pressed the panic button in Northern California. In the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Sharks made a Cinderella run all the way to the Western Conference Finals losing to the St. Louis Blues in 6 Games. Along their playoff run they exercised the demons from a year ago knocking off their newly hated rival Vegas Golden Knights after an epic 3-1 Series comeback. They outlasted the Colorado Avalanche in Seven games to punch their ticket to the Western Conference Finals. After the clock struck midnight on Game 6, the Sharks plummeted to the bottom of the Pacific Division. Things got ugly in the Off-Season when longtime Captain Joe Pavelski felt disrespected and left for Dallas in Free Agency. Head Coach Peter DeBoer began butting heads with the Front Office. Erik Karlsson was given an 8-year extension while Pavelski was given the shaft which is why he left for the Lone Star State. A lot of issues over the Off-season left Sharks fans with an worse taste in their mouths for Doug Wilson. The longtime General Manager has failed every year to bring San Jose a Stanley Cup and fans patience has worn thin over the years.
It only got worse from here, during the 2019–20 season, with the Sharks at 15–16–2 and failing to win a game during their five-game road stretch, DeBoer and his staff were fired and the way Wilson fired DeBoer made Fans even more angry with the Franchise. Wilson fired DeBoer at his house on his day off. After DeBoer's firing, assistant coach Bob Boughner was named interim Head Coach and San Jose missed the Playoffs. Boughner was named permanent Coach on September 22, 2020. During this time, Wilson began pulling the plug. Pavelski was out the door. DeBoer left. Marleau left (Again). Thornton was gone. Martin Jones left.
The Sharks became mediocre just months after contending for the Western Conference. As we enter the 2021-2022 Season, the Sharks look to begin a rebuilding phase with Wilson behind the Desk despite the fans lack of patience, and Boughner behind the bench despite leading the Fins to back-to-back years of missing the Playoffs.
