So are you playing as just one driver or like a team? How does this work?
you race as one driver but you control the week to week stuff too like working on the cars/trucks with points allotted each week. you get offered new sponsors and if you meet their goal for the race you can sign with them. you earn money and can spend that on upgraded or replacement parts. you have mechanics that you can upgrade to get more work points to fix the cars. so you're the driver but you control a lot of aspects of the team. like when you're the coach in a sports game i guess.
That's pretty dope I'll follow this man.

McQUEEN SWEEPS STAGES AND DOMINATES TALLADEGA FOR RECORD-TYING WIN
Image
MCQUEEN LEADS TALLADEGA CHAOS TO TIE THE ALL-TIME TRUCK SERIES SINGLE-SEASON WINS RECORD

Talladega Superspeedway is unpredictable for almost everyone except, apparently, Logan McQueen III.

The Round of 8 rolled into the high banks on Saturday afternoon, and the driver of the No. 51 Horizon Hobby / Peak Motorsports Chevrolet delivered one of the most complete performances of his truck career. McQueen swept both stages, controlled the draft, avoided multiple mid-pack incidents, and executed a flawless final stage to secure his ninth win of the season, tying Greg Biffle’s long-standing all-time Truck Series single-season wins record.

And he did it with authority.

McQueen set the tone early by topping both rounds of qualifying, clocking a blistering time in Round 2 to take the pole over Ross Chastain, Kyle Busch, and Corey Heim. McQueen dropped back briefly in the opening laps but then worked the draft, hooking up with Ben Rhodes and going to the front. Once there the No. 51 was untouchable in clean air. McQueen led comfortably through Stage One, holding off Rhodes and Ross Chastain at the line to score the first 10 stage points.

Stage Two brought more of the same. Even as the lanes shifted and the aggression picked up, McQueen held firm, timing his blocks and pushes perfectly to beat Chandler Smith and Chastain for another maximum-points stage win.

The final stage became a strategic duel with McQueen pitting in the middle of the cycle, dropping back to the 20s and jumping back into the top ten when the rest of the field pitted. From there he picked off the rest of the pack.

In the closing laps, the race turned into a three-truck sprint between McQueen, Chastain, and Jake Garcia. The No. 51 never wavered. He crossed the stripe 0.187 seconds clear of Chastain, locking down an absolutely dominant victory and placing himself in a commanding Championship 4 position heading into Martinsville.

On social media afterward, reporters and drivers alike gave McQueen credit for a clean, professional superspeedway race, a rare sight at Talladega. As Adam Stern noted, the win officially ties McQueen with Greg Biffle for most Truck Series victories in a single season. One more, and the record is his alone.

If Saturday proved anything, it’s this.

When McQueen controls the draft, the field is in trouble.

Ross Chastain: “Logan was tough to beat today. Clean air or dirty air, that 51 was fast.”
Gio Ruggiero: “When somebody sweeps both stages at Dega, you know they earned it. Logan did.”
Alex Ward, Crew Chief: “That’s one of the most complete superspeedway races we’ve ever run. Execution from start to finish.”

NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES RACE RECAP
SLIM JIM 200 | Martinsville Speedway

LATE INCIDENT DERAILS McQUEEN’S DOMINANT NIGHT AS BUSCH WINS AT MARTINSVILLE
Image
McQUEEN TURNS IN SOLID PERFORMANCE BUT A LATE SPIN ENDS HIS SHOT AT THE WIN

Martinsville Speedway has earned its title as “The Paperclip,” and Saturday night’s Round of 8 finale proved exactly why. Tempers, contact, payback, and heartbreak, all of it converged in the Slim Jim 200.

For most of the race, Logan McQueen III looked poised to score his tenth win of the season. The driver of the No. 51 Horizon Hobby / Peak Motorsports Chevrolet was fast from the drop of the green flag, qualifying fifth and immediately showing long-run speed that rivaled Corey Heim’s pole-winning pace.

McQueen battled fiercely through Stage One, stalking Heim’s bumper before finishing a strong second. In Stage Two, McQueen returned the favor, executing a perfect crossover and then holding off Heim by mere hundredths at the line to claim the stage win and another 10 stage points.

The final stage looked like it belonged to the No. 51. McQueen controlled the opening laps, managed traffic cleanly, and appeared en route to sweeping the night.

Then Martinsville struck.

With fewer than 40 laps to go, Ty Majeski pushed wide into McQueen’s left-rear quarter panel, sending the No. 51 spinning hard into the inside wall. The crowd gasped as McQueen slid across the track before gathering the truck and limping back to pit road.

The damage was too severe to mount a comeback. McQueen clawed what he could from the remainder of the race but ultimately faded to a disappointing 13th-place finish. Majeski rallied to finish second behind race winner Kyle Busch.

Even with the frustrations of Martinsville, McQueen had already secured his Championship 4 berth thanks to last week’s victory, giving the No. 51 team a crucial buffer. He will be joined by Corey Heim, Kyle Busch, and Ross Chastain as the series heads to Phoenix for the title race.

Asked about the incident with Majeski post-race, McQueen was visibly frustrated but declined to comment.

At Martinsville, silence said plenty.
