Ella Palis finds the net again for a second straight match in Louisville's victory over the NC Courage.

LOUISVILLE — Fans were excited to witness Alisha Lehmann back in the starting lineup against the NC Courage, & she capitalized on the opportunity with a goal 10 minutes into the match.

The match was settled in the first 45 minutes, after Ella Palis's goal put Racing ahead 2-0, & eventually would be the deciding factor against the Courage.

"We played great today. We know what we're capable of, so it feels like we're starting to recognize it & we're turning it into wins." Savannah DeMelo told DS.net.

Racing Louisville has picked up victories over the two worst teams in the NWSL in the past week & now will turn their sights on a much better opponent: the Houston Dash.

Louisville will travel to the Shell Energy Stadium in Houston next Saturday for a match against the Dash. A match that could see Racing tying Gotham FC for first place (only if Gotham loses next weekend).

Lehmann called game in the final minute with a goal that pushed Louisville's lead out of reach against the Dash.

HOUSTON — Racing Louisville seemed to have found their groove as the club is currently riding a 3-game winning streak following a victory over the Houston Dash.

The Dash's gameplan was simple: Slow the game down.

However, Racing Louisville's experienced roster played the slow game & found their spots for tackles that would ultimately lead to shot attempts.

Alisha Lehmann walked away from today's performance as the Player of the Match after netting two goals in today's victory.

"Everyone loves to underrate Alisha [Lehmann]." Racing's Jule Brand told DS.net.

"She won the game for us today & we couldn't be happier with her play." Racing's head coach also told DS.net following today's win.

Racing Louisville FC will continue play on May 31 at home against the 8th-place Portland Thorns. This is the first rematch of the NWSL' Championship that saw Jule Brand net the game-winning goal at the 114th minute.

Racing Louisville Slides Comfortably Into 2nd Place With A Convincing Win Over The Portland Thorns

Thorns' Claire Hutton was ejected from today's matchup after taking a dive at Racing's Jule Brand early in the contest.

LOUISVILLE — A red card in the first 5 minutes of the match may have sealed the Portland Thorns' fate as they were forced to finish the match down 1 player on the pitch for the remaining 85 minutes. It doesn't help this was their second meeting against Louisville in a NWSL championship rematch with Racing.

Savannah DeMelo & Jule Brand found the goal posts for Racing Louisville in today's 2-1 victory over the Thorns, while the club surrendered one goal against Alessia Russo (her fifth on the season).

"I thought we looked great today," Racing's head coach, Filipa Patão, told DS.net. "..but it's also easy to spot where we need to improve. They got off more shots than us tonight while down an entire player. We have to correct that."

Today's win was the first match against the Thorns since the NWSL' championship' that saw Racing come out on top after Jule Brand won the game in the 114th minute.

All eyes will be on Louisville as Racing will return to the pitch in their next matchup on the road against the first place Gotham FC.
