Racing Louisville FC & The Orlando Pride Ends In A Stalemate After A Hard Fought Defensive Contest
NWSL, Matchday 5: April 18, 2031 - Lynn Family Stadium, Louisville, KY

vs.

Alisha Lehmann nets her first goal of the season at the 68' mark against the Orlando Pride.
LOUISVILLE — It was a rollercoaster of a game for Racing Louisville as the first place squad hosted the winless Orlando Pride at Lynn Family Stadium. What appeared on paper should be another win for Racing, as they were riding a 3-game win streak heading into today's contest, ended up being a battle as the Pride's offense kept finding position.
Racing's keeper, Regina van Eijk, had her hands full against Orlando, tallying 8 saves to their 9 shots on target. One goal would slip past, ending Louisville's 3-game streak of not allowing a goal.
"I think our defense looked great for what it's worth. We should have been better prepared for this team. They kept us on our toes all match. We'll have to rewatch the game & see where we went wrong." Louisville's captain Ella Palis told DS.net.
The goal from Sanchez nearly sucked the energy out of Lynn Family Stadium as the club began to look defeated while Orlando's players celebrated. Then almost as if they let their guard down for a second, Racing's Alisha Lehmann hurried down the sideline, cutting through defenders with her dribbling towards the inside & found the net at the 68' mark.
"That goal from Alisha [Lehmann] is just what the team needed to pick their heads back up & play ball. We can't let the standings go to our heads. There's still a lot of work that this team needs to improve on if they want to make another run at the trophy." Filipa Patão had to say just before heading into the team's locker room.
Despite everything, Racing escaped today's contest with their first draw of the season, & adds one point to their score as they fall to second in the standings behind Gotham FC.
The Louisville players will prepare for a road trip to California for their next match against the 12th place San Diego Wave.

Tensions Flare In San Diego After A Late Equalizer From Acosta As Racing Louisville's Match Ends In A Second Straight Draw
NWSL, Matchday 6: April 12, 2031 - Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, CA

vs.

Alisha Lehmann & Elise Stenevik had to be separated at the end of the match after Memeti's last shot went wide.
SAN DIEGO — What started off as a quick start for Racing Louisville with Savannah DeMelo scoring a goal 6 minutes into the match, quickly turned sour in the final 15 minutes of play.
As Jule Brand put Louisville up 2-0 with an assist from Ella Palis, victory felt certain. That is until San Diego's offense dug into their heels & changed the trajectory of the game.
A goal from Paulette Bernard & then the equalizer from Estela Acosta left Racing Louisville with one final shot at victory.
On the final play, Savannah DeMelo finds Erëleta Memeti cutting towards the middle between the defenders & leaves her with a great look to win the game. But San Diego's keeper, Renata Baran, was planted & ready to make a big defensive play. She made a late save to secure the draw as emotions ran high on the pitch.
Alisha Lehmann & Elise Stenevik came face to face as teammates pulled them apart. With the game still running, the referee pulled out a red card on Alisha Lehmann & blew the whistle to signalize the end of the game.
The red card means Alisha Lehmann will face a 1-game suspension & will not be available for Racing's home match against the visiting Seattle Reign on Saturday, May 3rd.

The pregame preview is nice, maybe add the top scorers and assist for each team.

Thanks. That would be a nice addition.

If I can make it look clean, I'll add it.

She went full Artest. We should've won but the last goal was some BS & at the very last second so once Memeti missed & they were about to call the game she snapped

That's a real team player tbqh.
