De Ligt Joins Manchester United from Bayern for £55M

De Ligt replaces Harry Maguire as the club's first choice at RCB.

United have signed the perfect player for Erik ten Hag, his former captain at Ajax, Matthijs de Ligt. The 24 year old center back is a physical beast with great technical ability who will not only transform the club's backline under ten Hag, but transform the team in the locker room as ten Hag has already made it clear that he will make his new signing the captain of the club for the foreseeable future.

Casemiro Joins Manchester City in Rare Cross-Town Transfer

Casemiro started well at United but really struggled in the 23-24 season.

In a rare case of aligned interests between the two Manchester clubs, a transfer deal has been struck between them. Manchester United were struggling to find suitors for Casemiro's big wage contract, and Man City were struggling to find a reasonably priced DM to act as cover for Rodri. Both clubs solve their problems with City agreeing to pay £32M for the Brazilian holding midfielder.

Wan-Bissaka joins Tottenham for £17M

Wan-Bissaka has always been a questionable fit under ten Hag.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a really good defensive right-back, but lacks the technical ability required to play ten Hag's system effectively and be useful cover for Diogo Dalot, who was a standout last season. As such, he has been shipped out to Tottenham for a reasonable £17M fee as the club looks for a younger option to develop behind Dalot in the system going forward.

Jack Hinshelwood Joins United for £3M

Hinshelwood is another young gem uncovered by Brighton Hove Albion.

United needed a young player to cover for new signing, Zubimendi, and with Collyer and Oyedele being deemed not good enough and surplus to requirements, they had to look elsewhere. Enter Brighton's Jack Hinshelwood, Brighton's 19 year old defensive midfielder who oozes technical ability, balance and composure --- everything required to be successful in the 6 in ten Hag's system. He joins from Brighton for a meagre £3M fee in what might quietly be United's best piece of business this summer.

McTominay Leaves for Fenerbahce for £13M

McTominay marks the sale of another United former academy player.

McTominay has come up with several clutch goals for United throughout his career at the club, but lacks the technical ability to truly fit into ten Hag's system going forward. With Hinshelwood and Zubimendi in the defensive midfield positions there is no place for him in the side and he has been moved on to Turkey accordingly for a £13M fee.
